    “Schierke ist ein hübscher, gepflegter kleiner Ort und hat viele nette Restaurants. Wir kochen im Urlaub nicht, haben eine Woche lang jeden Tag woanders gegessen und es gibt absolut nichts zu meckern. Lediglich das Sortiment es einzigen Supermarktes am Ort ist etwas eingeschränkt. Doch nach Wernigerode ist es mit Bus (nahegelegene Haltestelle) oder Auto nicht weit. Gerne sind wir durch den wunderschönen Stadtpark gegangen. Von der Wohnung ist der Brocken-Bahnhof fußläufig gut zu erreichen.”
