    “Wer sich auskennt weiß, dass der Lido ein idealer, aber ruhiger Ausgangspunkt für den Besuch in Venedig ist. Am Strand gibt es einen kostenfreien Zugang mit guter und kostengünstiger Gastronomie, Wetter vorausgesetzt und nicht gerade in der Hochsaison eine sehr gute Möglichkeit zum Entspannen. Empfehlenswert ist die Fahr mit Bus 11 und Vaporetto von Lido nach Chioggia, wo täglich bis 13.00 Wochenmarkt ist und danach ein Stadtrundgang zu empfehlen ist. Da der Flughafen Marco Polo bald fertig umgebaut bzw. erweitert ist, lässt sich das Wasserboot der Alilaguna besser erreichen.”

    “Zwei Supermärkte in Laufweite, zudem eine der "Flaniermeilen" zum Bummeln ebenfalls gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Wer will, findet auch die Busse und Taxen unmittelbar, wir haben nur die Wasserlinien nach Venedig über die Bucht benötigt. Ganz in der Nähe ist ein recht breiter öffentlicher Strand, der auch sauber ist und viel Platz bietet. Selbst Federball und Fußball waren kein Problem, da wenig frequentiert. Es gibt allerdings keine Liegen oder Sonnenschirme zu mieten. Das Strandcafé des benachbarten Privatstrands konnte mit genutzt werden.
