    “Die Lage von Chieming direkt am Chiemsee ist sehr malerisch. Eine ausreichende Auswahl an Einkaufsmöglichkeiten direkt in Chieming ist vorhanden, allerdings muss für eine größere Auwahl an Geschäften schon eine kurze Fahrzeit (10km Traunstein, 40km Bad Reichenhall oder Salzburg) in Kauf genommen werden.
    Der See lädt zum Baden an und kann von vielen Stellen im Ort aus erreicht werden. Mit dem PKW sind die Chiemgauer Alpen sehr einfach von Chieming aus zu erreichen, dort können viele Bergtouren in verschieden Längen und Schwierigkeitsgraden unternommen werden.
    Die Region zeichnet sich durch viele kleine, verteilte Ortschaften und Siedlungen aus, die alle relativ gut mit Straßen verbunden sind und einfach zu erreichen sind. Es wird allerdings sehr häufig für einfache Unternehmungen bereits ein Verkehrsmittel benötigt, um zum gewünschten Ort zu gelangen. Wobei bei einer Wohnung in Chieming selbst, bereits einige Freizeitmöglichkeiten fußläufig zu erreichen sind. Der ÖPV ist nur begrenzt hilfreich, da viele kleine Ortschaften gar nicht oder sehr wenig frequentiert angebunden sind.”
