    “Im Ort Casoli di Camaiore herrscht idyllische Ruhe, da kein Autoverkehr (ab und an eine Mofa oder ein Tuktuk). Der Ort liegt typisch am Hang und ist über betonierte Wege und Stufen zugänglich. Vom Hauptort Camaiore aus sind es mit dem Auto gute 10 Minuten über die Bergstraße / Serpentinen bis nach Casoli. Bekannt ist Casoli für seine wunderschönen "Graffitis", die eigentlich eher geritzte Mauerzeichnungen sind und einem überall im Ort begegnen. Es gibt eine Dorfbar, die mit einer herrlichen Panoramaterrasse zum Wein oder Bier am Abend einlädt. Die Bar ist zugleich Mini-Lebensmittelladen, mit Glück kommt man morgens rechtzeitig genug um Brötchen zu kaufen. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und Gästen gegenüber aufgeschlossen, sprechen allerdings nur italienisch. Restaurants bietet der Ort selbst nicht, allerdings liegt eines ein paar hundert Meter die Bergstraße rauf, mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Man lebt in typisch italienischem Ambiente, die Dorfbewohner treffen sich all abendlich an der Bushaltestelle zum Klönen, grüßen freundlich zurück wenn man als Tourist den Anfang macht. Bemerkenswert: das Trinkwasser im Ort stammt aus den Bergen, ist damit trinkbar, so dass man sich das Flaschen-Geschleppe sparen kann. Die Gegend um das Dorf herum ist zudem ein Eldorado für Wanderfreunde und Bergkletterer.”
