Two houses on a former farm with a boat jetty, right by the Sandsjön lake at the end of the idyllically situated Dångebo, in the Tingsryds area


Tingsryds is centrally located in relation to major swimming and fishing lakes in the area – Tiken, Åsnen and Mien – and near the university town of Växjö.

The building was a former farmhouse, which was converted into a tourist café in the 1960s. The variety of types of cake, unusual for Sweden, enticed over 1000 people from near and far on Sundays.

Since its careful renovation in 2015, the property is now available for holiday lets and is looking forward to its first guests. There are two detached houses, thoughtfully decorated.

Right by the site there is a boat jetty and there are three boats belonging to the owner. You can also hire canoes. The Sandsjön lake is not deep, a maximum of 4-5 metres, on average about 2.7 metres, and invites you to swim and to go fishing. You can book boats on other lakes through an acquainted company, or fishing guidance. The owner can provide the contacts. There are shops in the centre of Tingsryds.

House no. 2 for ten people, with a fireplace, barrier-free

This house is in the former farmhouse. The ground floor has a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, two separate shower rooms without a toilet, a bathroom with a bath and WC, and a separate WC. The upper floor has four further bedrooms. The living room is spacious and is extended by an open space with a wonderful panoramic view. The living room itself has a fireplace for cold days and exudes a sense of well-being, with suitable colour accents. You can sit on the sofa suite and watch satellite TV. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a freezer compartment, stove, coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and kettle etc. The double beds in three of the five bedrooms measure 180 x 200cm, while the other two bedrooms each have a bunk bed with two single beds measuring 90 x 200cm. Each harmonious bedroom has its own charm, in a Scandinavian style. All the rooms apart from the bedrooms have a radiator. Wireless Internet access is available.

There is plenty of space in front of the house, on the terrace, in the garden, by the lake, to enjoy nature. Stylish garden furniture is provided. You can enjoy leisurely togetherness whilst grilling. The location right by the lake will make your holiday perfect.

This house can be connected to property no. 942023 by opening up a corridor, so the house can be booked for larger groups, school classes or clubs. It is completely barrier-free and wheelchair accessible.

    “Gemütlich eingereichtet und gut ausgestattet für 10 Personen, die Nachbarn im anderen Objekt sind nicht störend und kaum hörbar. Die Betten sind bequem. Perfekte Lage am See mit Abendsonne. Kein Verkehrslärm, da ruhige Seitenstraße.
    Nette Hausverwalterin.”

    “schönes Ferienhaus für eine große Familie oder Reisegruppe mit guter Ausstattung und toller Lage,
    leider ist das Exterior (Sitzgruppen) schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ebenso die E-Motoren und die dazugehörigen Batterien bedürfen einer dringenden Reparatur bzw. Erneuerung, außerdem sorgt die Hausbeschreibung für etwas Verwirrung in Bezug zur Realität, z.B. ist eine Extra Bootsmiete nicht notwendig, da alle Boote frei zugänglich sind,”

    “Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich schön und idyllisch. René, der Verwalter ist spitze und kümmert sich sehr gut um beide Häuser und das gesamte Anwesen.
    Alle 5 Schlafzimmer bieten ausreichend Platz und Komfort. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und hat alles was man braucht.
    Der Wohnbereich ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und der Blick auf den See entschädigt die Verbindungstür, die je nach Belegung und Rücksichtnahme aufeinander doch störend sein kann.
    Es gibt 2 Duschen, 1 Toilette und ein Badezimmer mit Toilette.
    Der See ladet zum Baden ein und lässt das Anglerherz höher schlagen.
    Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und uns wirklich wohl gefühlt. Spielen bereits mit dem Gedanken in 2 Jahren wieder zu buchen.
    Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

    “Så er vi hjemme igen efter en uges ferie i Dångebo. Vi har være 6 voksne og 4 børn i huset, og kan helt sikkert anbefale det til andre. Vi var så heldige, at der ikke var gæster i nabohuset, hvilket vi nød rigtig meget. Vi havde hele grunden for og selv, og det gav ro og rummelighed for både børn og voksne.
    Huset er vel indrettet med 4 værelser på første sal og et stort værelse i stueplan. Spisestue med stor bord, hvor vi alle kunne sidde og spise. Køkkenet et veludstyret og kan sagtens klare en stor families behov. Vi har brugt grillen næsten hver dag. Badeværelser og toiletter er i fin stand.”
