Stylish non-smoking holiday apartment with a whirlpool for two people and wireless Internet access

The house with the holiday apartment is beautifully situated on the outskirts of Schalkenmehren am See. It is a quiet location on a slope and bordering a forest. It is only about 400 metres to the lake and the town centre.

The elegant, completely newly furnished holiday apartment for two to six people, with about 54m² of living space, has a balcony facing the lake and the decorative pond. The Maarhöhe apartment is on the upper floor, up stairs, and affords a beautiful view of the lake, the lovely landscape and a well-maintained decorative pond. The living room provides a new sofa suite that can be converted into a bed and a big 127cm HD/3D TV of the new generation. You can choose between about 3000 different TV and radio channels in many languages from four different satellites. There are alsoa 3D BluRay player and a DVD player, a stereo system with a radio, CD player etc. Wireless Internet access is available. The light and inviting apartment has a natural flair with plenty of wood and stone. The electric fireplace and the elegant ceiling fan ensure a pleasant atmosphere, even on cold or wet days. It is non-smoking apartment. Smokers can use the balcony or the outdoor area. The new built-in kitchen is equipped with a four-ring ceramic hob and oven, a dishwasher, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave, two coffee machines (filter and pads, Bosch-Tassimo), a toaster, a kettle, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery for the maximum number of people. A junior bed and a highchair can be provided free of charge. The dining corner is suitable for four people. The apartment has two separate bedrooms with quality box spring beds (180 x 200cm and 140 x 200cm), so you can get a good night’s sleep. The second bedroom has a French double bed 140cm wide. The larger bedroom looks out towards the lake. Both bedrooms have a full-length mirror. The living room has a new double sofa bed. The light bathroom is fitted with a whirlpool, so you can treat yourself. The bathroom also has satellite TV with a DVD player, a radio and USB port. There is a shower integrated into the whirlpool, along with LEDs and massage jets. Special bath salts for the whirlpool are available free of charge. The LEDs on the floor throughout the bathroom, with blue light, provide a great atmosphere. There is a big, illuminated LED mirror and there are scales and a modern towel radiator. Large sliding windows towards the lake and landscape to the balcony await you. The apartment has central heating and of course its own separate entrance.

The apartment features a beautiful balcony with lounge chairs, hammock chair with a view towards the lake and a cocktail and coffee table. If you would like to dine on the balcony, you can use the folding table as a dining table, which you can set up anywhere. There is a wonderful and elaborately laid out decorative pond with Koi carp and other fish, two waterfalls and a stream. You can sit and enjoy a coffee or cocktail on the balcony or on the terrace and watch the fish, or look out into the valley and towards the lake. Outside there is ample parking space and there is space for storing bicycles. There is a grill area with a view of the lake behind the house.

In the house: lobby with reception, seating and games (are ready for use). Sauna (free of charge) and solarium can be found in the basement of the "Maarberg Resort". You can also use the newly designed sauna alone (lockable). A new jacuzzi for two people can also be used free of charge. There is also a room in the basement with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. In addition to hiking maps and picture postcards, the reception hall also provides free information material on the many excursion destinations and leisure opportunities in the region. In addition, there is a drinks refrigerator in the lobby with drinks to be taken away on a trust basis.

There are good restaurants, cafés and a shop locally. In the town of Daun five kilometres away there are many other shops and supermarkets.

    “Attraktiv eingerichtete Ferienwohnung mit zwei Schlafzimmern, sehr guten Betten, einem komfortablen Badezimmer, einer komplett eingerichteten Küche, die nichts vermissen lässt, und einem ausreichend großen Wohn- und Essbereich. Dazu ein schöner Balkon mit vier bequemen Sesseln und einem herrlichen Rundumblick, nicht zu vergessen die tolle Teichanlage rund ums Haus herum, auf die man auch vom Balkon aus einen eindrucksvollen Blick hat. Auch der Service rund ums Buchen herum sowie die Infos zur Wohnung und zur Umgebung war perfekt, gut erreichbar und sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns mit unseren Hunden sehr wohl dort gefühlt und werden sicherlich noch einmal wiederkommen.”
