Holiday apartments on country estate with communal pool, its own small golf course and wellness centre
The Country Resort Le Sodole lies in the heart of Tuscany, between Pisa and Florence, surrounded by vineyards.
The twelve comfortable apartments all have a kitchen and are elegantly furnished in a rustic style. Here, a guest can relax by the pool with a glass of Chianti wine from the estate’s own vineyard. Also well suited for business travellers. The house has a sauna and steam room. The Le Sodole restaurant is in a hall with a vaulted ceiling; here you can enjoy typical Tuscan dishes. For guests who are interested, a nine-hole putting green is also available.
The two buildings, which together make up the Country Resort, have formed the core of the property since the 17th Century. This is where aristocratic Tuscan families like the Franceschis and the Torrigiani Malaspinas lived in past centuries through to 1976, and where the current owner, the Conte Aldobrando degli Azzini Avogadro, now lives. After careful restoration, twelve apartments were created, each for two to six people. The Country Resort Le Sodole offers a large swimming pool and a small wellness centre with sauna and steam bath, gym and massages as well as a golf driving range and a hall for meetings and Azzoni Avogadro wine tasting.
Golf Club
You will find a golf course of approximately three hectares and a length of more than 220 m at the Country Resort Le Sodole. The course is playable all year round and has four roofed and nine open tees, all on artificial turf. There is also a putting green of artificial turf with nine holes of Brilliant8, designed by Nicklaus Design ©. Equipment can be rented and a clubhouse with changing rooms and reception is also available. Classes are on offer with Alfiero Pellegrini, an experienced teacher, and there are golf lessons for children. The place is affiliated with the Italian Golf Federation.
Restaurant
The restaurant is in a hall with a vaulted ceiling, and is mainly for the guests of the resort and the golf club. It is open from midday to evening, and offers traditional Tuscan cuisine and wines from our own vineyards.
Relaxing
The house offers a relaxation area for guests with sauna and shower. The garden and the landscape can be seen through large windows while you train on the Technogym equipment. Yoga and pilates classes are also on offer. A well-known course instructor, Giovanni Vaglini, from the University of Turin, is available to you as a personal trainer, if needed. You can wind down in a relaxed atmosphere with shiatsu and ayurvedic massages as well as a Tuscan massage with homemade olive oil. This ancient massage therapy brings about mental balance and cleanses the body through deep relaxation.
Other Service
Transfers to and from Pisa airport or Florence, on request. A driver will pick you up at your desired airport and bring you directly to the resort. The activities at the resort comprise of trekking, use of the swimming pool until 8 pm, tickets for museums on order, cooking lessons, bike rental, excursions into the surrounding area. Rides or riding lessons, tennis and golf.
You can go shopping about two kilometres away, the next village is located four kilometres away, while the sea can be reached 25 kilometres away.

For those who want peace and quiet, without being too far from Le Sodole: a cozy home near a private lake and a park where you can make beautiful walks. The house consists of an entrance hall, a spacious living / dining area, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms for 4 persons. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator dishwasher. The apartment has a washing machine. Outside there is a small well-kept garden and a private swimming pool (2m deep).
