Small farmhouse with a swimming pool in the middle of nature
These apartments are located in the heart of Las Alpujarras (Poqueira canyon), only two kilometres away from the village of Pampaneira and right in the middle of the Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada.
Two of the apartments are available for rent for lovers of nature tourism. The small third accommodation, the hut, is occupied by the owner at the weekends and during the summer months. Dense vegetation around the houses will make you feel like you do not have any neighbours. The sounds of trickling water from the finca’s well create a unique relaxed atmosphere. The stone buildings are set approx. 70 metres apart from each other and feature architectural details typical of the region. The floors are made of artistic clay tiles and there are many nice wooden details made of nut and cherry wood. Another special feature is the decorative tiles which the owner makes herself. The houses are equipped with bed linen and towels. Fire wood is also available but at an extra cost.
Although the weather is nice and fresh here in summer, there is a 7.30 x 4.30 communal swimming pool for a nice cool down, only approx. 100 metres away from your accommodation. Close to the country road you will find the finca’s private car park, only a 50 to 100 metre walk away, along a pond that is fed by the finca’s well and that is home to fish and water lilies.
From Cortijo it takes five minutes to get to the nearest village of Pampaneira. The town of Orgiva with its 5.000 inhabitants is 15 minutes away. Granada is approx. one hour away and it will take you two hours to get to the Sierra Nevada ski station. The beach is 45 minutes away.
Country house for up to eight people
This three storey, 120 m² holiday home accommodated six adults and two children. On the ground floor, you will find the living room with a fireplace, a sofa bed and satellite television. Adjacent to the living/dining room is the open plan kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, an oven and a microwave. The living room offers views of the garden. The bathroom, also located on the ground floor, boasts a round bathtub. On the mezzanine, you will find a bedroom with a double bed and a child's cot. The other two bedrooms are located on the top floor. One is furnished with a double bed, the other one with two singles and a child's bed (up to age 5). The bathroom on this floor boasts a shower, a sink and a toilet.
The ground floor has two entrances. In front of one the entrances is a large chestnut tree, in front of the other one is the barbecue. Both entrances offer a relaxing spot to hang out and relax.
The bedrooms are heated with hot air, flowing through ducts from the fireplace. The bathroom is equipped with an electric oven. There is also a gas oven. A community washing machine can be found under a patio outside. The kids will enjoy the ping pong table.
