Beautifully restored farm with a swimming pond

The Kollnburg farm stands alone in a forest glade between the holiday regions Sankt Englmar and Viechtach. Forests and meadows characterise the surroundings and exude peace and quiet.

There is an annex with a recreational and entertainment room with a kitchen and a large corner bench. The farm is heated in winter with a fireplace stove in each living room. You can also add night storage heating.

The farm consists of two separate residential units: the old farmhouse and the converted barn. In total it provides around 300m² of residential space for up to 12 people. The ground floor of the old farmhouse comprises a fully-equipped kitchen, a living room and a bathroom with a WC, shower and bath. The first floor has two bedrooms with double beds and a WC. Right up under the pointed roof there is a further bedroom for four people. The converted barn is accessed through the conservatory on the ground floor. It has a large living room-kitchen and two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath. On the upper floor there is a large fireplace room with a gallery, as well as two bedrooms with double beds.

A hiking trail leads past right in front of the house. There is a Kneipp facility about 2km away, within walking distance. The Pröller and Predigtstuhl ski resorts are a short distance away, as well as the treetop trail, the climbing forest or the summer luge. There are many recreational and trip destinations nearby, promising an interesting and relaxing holiday.

Outside there is a large terrace with a fireplace grill, a gas grill and garden furniture. The farm is surrounded by a large lawn with a swimming pond, with fresh spring water. The last 300 metres leading to the farm is along a non-asphalted track that is not cleared in winter, so winter guests will need suitable equipment.

    “Tolle Alleinlage, rustikal und viel Platz. Bäder und teilweise auch die Einrichtung sind zwar überwiegend aus den 80ern, aber es ist alles da, was man braucht. Alles war Pico Bello sauber. Sehr netter Kontakt mit den Vermietern. Ideal für Gruppen und große Familien. Tolle Öfen und ausreichend Holz vorhanden. Toll fanden wir, dass die Betten bereits bezogen waren.”

    “Großzügige Ausstattung und Raumangebot. Spinnweben und Spinnen sollte man mögen. Es liegt mitten im Wald - der Teich ist sensationell. Super ruhige Lage! Insgesamt sehr schön.”

    “Für größere Gruppen hervorragend geeignet, da das Platzangebot viele Variationsmöglichkeiten offen lässt. Ausstattung ist super, auftretende technische Schwierigkeiten wurden sofort vom allezeit erreichbaren Vermieter behoben - wir sind begeistert und hoch zufrieden abgereist.”

    “Die Probleme/Anregungen aus 2013 wurden zwischenzeitlich gelöst. Beide Gebäudeteile wurden mit neuen Durchlauferhitzern ausgestattet sowie das Sortiment an Küchengeschirr erweitert. Da der Badeteich konstant mit frischem Quellwasser gespeist wird, schätzen wir die Wassertemperatur (jedoch auch abhängig von den Außentemperaturen) auf ca. 17-18 Grad.”

    “Für Gruppen mit Kindern ab 6 Jahren empfehlenswert, ruhig und schön gelegen, unweit des Skigebietes Pröller. Rustikaler Charme, aber besonders für Kinder ist es ein Paradies. Kleinere bauliche/energetische Unannehmlichkeiten wie tropfende Wasserhähne, Mischbatterien funktionieren nicht immer (mal zu heiß, mal zu kalt), Fenster teilweise undicht, wenige Töpfe mit Deckel:-) und knarrende Balkendecken und Betten. Trotzdem sehr schön - besonders die wunderbaren Holzöfen.”
