Ground floor apartment in an old farmhouse

Pichl village, near Mariapfarr, Lungau, Salzburg county, Austria. The whole house was recently awarded ' Traditional Apartments of the Year for Austria - Salzburg' by the British Travel and Hopitality Awards, 2018+21.

A large garden surrounds the entire property with full access for guests. Climbing frame/slide and swings for children. Many items of garden furniture ensure relaxation in shade or sunny positions. The 300+ year old Sycamore is a protected living monument and is over 6m in circumference and as tall as the house. A BBQ / Grill is available for guests' use. The steam train line runs by the side of the house, 4 times daily over the summer weekends.

Apartment in a lovingly recently renovated, Austrian farmhouse, dating from the 1600s. Many traditional features have been retained. The house contains 2 holiday apartments on 2 floors. This apartment for up to 6 people is situated on the ground floor. It provides a living space of nearly 88 m² and has 2 bedrooms, one with double bed and the other room with double and bunk bed. (Please note that all beds have afoot and headboard, so not suitable for very tall people.) There is a bathroom with shower, and another seperate toilet. A large kitchen and a combined dining and living room. Many traditional features remain, eg. wood floors, beams and doors.

Quiet location in the village by a river, but only a few minutes from 4 major ski areas and Marapfarr. Free ski bus 300m. The Lungau is a brilliant area in summer also, for hiking, biking and relaxing. In summer a steam train passes the house twice a day, on Fri, Sat & Sundays.

    “Die Ferienwohnung war sehr geräumig. Über Sauna, Skischuhtrockner und Kamin waren auch alle anderen Bereiche der Wohnung gut ausgestattet. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von den Vermietern empfangen. Die Wohnung war sauber und gemütlich warm. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal. Es war für sechs Personen Geschirr vorhanden, allerdings wäre es schön, wenn es mehr Gläser geben würde. Die Schlafräume waren geräumig und auch für 4 Personen gut geeignet. Da die Betten traditionell waren, sind sie für sehr große Menschen (ca.2 m groß ) unter Umständen zu kurz. Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr günstig, da vier z. T. sehr große Skigebiete in wenigen Fahrminuten zu erreichen sind.”
