There is a reason why Sant Llorenç des Cardassar was baptised in the thistles: The landscape here is covered in thistles. But you won't see any of them here, as you sit on the shady veranda of Son Vives and look out over the well-tended garden and the rippling pond to the hilltops in the distance. On the contrary: everything you see here has been cared for and maintained to make you feel at home on holiday. Great care has been taken to provide shady spots; whether by the house or the terrace pool, you will find small covered oases to protect you from the heat. The pool area with outdoor shower, outdoor bath and barbecue is also ideally located away from the house so that activity and relaxation do not overlap. There is also a small fridge in the outdoor pool and you can relax in the sauna (incl. splash water and Kneipp hose).
And for those who want to retreat to their own privacy, we recommend the cosy corner between the trees in front of the house, ideal for working. On the pretty, fenced property, two further water features provide even more space to linger: a 70 metre long stream and a fountain, which are even beautifully lit up at night.

The interior of the villa also exudes a characteristic cosiness. The windows and high arched doors allow plenty of light into the living area. There is plenty of space to stretch out and relax on the large, comfortable leather furniture by the crackling open fire or watch the TV series you don't want to miss on holiday. The pictures on the walls, together with the other decorative elements, reveal a little of the owners' personal taste; the house has been extensively renovated without losing its personal touch. The well-equipped kitchen deserves an extra star for its sparkling blue tiles and worktops. In such an inspiring setting, fresh fish is guaranteed to be on the menu. Doors lead from the long hallway into the bedrooms and bathrooms. The former are light, bright and functional (after all, you'll be spending your time outside), the latter are modern and designed for your comfort. And all are equipped with infrared heating, making showering a cosy experience even in the cooler months. The rest of the house is kept at the perfect temperature all year round thanks to an air source heat pump, air conditioning and a fireplace. The en-suite bathroom even has access to the terrace; you could shower, put on a dressing gown and be right outside breathing in the fresh morning air. Son Vives We know how to live here! In the Llevant mountains, in the east of the island, with only one other villa nearby, lies Son Vives: absolutely quiet and yet in one of the most popular regions of the island between Manacor and Artà. Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, just 4 km away, is connected to the neighbouring town of Son Servera by a picturesque road. The eight kilometre-long coastline between Cap des Pinar and Punta de sa Roca is shared by the two municipalities and the coastal towns of Cala Millor, Sa Coma and SIllot and their popular beaches.
