Villa Can Matxet is a prime example of a Mallorcan holiday property that doesn't conform to any clichés. With its authentic charm, it offers everything you could wish for on a relaxing holiday. It starts right in the region in which it is located: The property is located on a slightly sloping terrain due to the low hill that surrounds it. You will then benefit from the unforgettable views offered by the numerous outdoor seating areas. This beautiful area is characterised by its almond, olive and citrus trees. The oasis-like garden with its lush green lawns seems to merge with the landscape despite the stone wall enclosure. Striking coffee house tables, set in the middle of the Mediterranean greenery, harmonise with the robust stone benches on a sun-drenched terrace. The furnishings are complemented by ergonomic aluminium loungers on which you can relax after a refreshing dip in the azure pool. There are also two cardio machines. After training and then cooling off in the cold water, the barbecue tastes twice as good on the modern dining table in the dining area under the covered terrace. The roof terrace should never be forgotten. When the crickets are playing in the evening and you feel a gentle breeze, you can let your gaze wander over the landscape until the stars appear in the sky.

Our expectations of the interior design of this lovely quarry stone property were also fully met. Light floors, cosy rooms with exposed brickwork, wooden doors and windows, a fireplace, ceramic tiles and many discreet decorative items create a pleasant atmosphere of lightness and comfort of an archetypal country house, which you enter through a wide and inviting foyer. The cosy living and dining rooms are functionally furnished. The separate kitchen is equipped with coffee-brown furniture and contemporary comforts, giving holidaymakers a tremendous sense of relief. It will be a pleasure to cook together in this room when people don't want to use the barbecue area. Three double bedrooms share two shower rooms, one of which has an additional bathtub. On the upper floor of the villa you will find a second bedroom, which can also be used as a lounge or office.

The popular eastern part of the island offers charming, relaxed towns and a gentle hilly landscape that slopes gently down to the coast. The towns are picturesque, with numerous golden-brown stone houses and bodegas and small boutiques that are also frequented by locals. As this lovely villa is located near Sant Llorenç des Cardassar and is therefore conveniently situated on a country road from which you only occasionally hear traffic noise, the medieval town of Artà with its farmers' market on Tuesdays and Manacor, the second largest town in Mallorca, can also be reached quickly by car. Beach holidaymakers will definitely get their money's worth here, as the island's beautiful beaches, the Calas de Mallorca, are just a short drive away and some of them are still wonderfully unspoilt.
