Away from a small country road and wonderfully secluded in a quiet hillside location, you will find the lovingly and beautifully restored Villa Sa Mata Grossa. As the property is slightly higher than its surroundings, it offers spectacular views of the beautifully landscaped estate, the surrounding fields and the beautiful countryside. The extensive gardens and the architectural design of the building can only be described as magnificent and incredibly well thought out. As you drive onto the property, a bamboo awning stands directly in front of the villa's imposing natural stone façade, casting shade over a seating area with table and chairs. Several stone benches set into the façade of the building provide additional seating. The whole is paved with natural stone and if you walk round the side of the house, you will find the actual terrace area. The child-safe pool area is set against a lush green backdrop and is surrounded by a small stone wall and additional greenery. The large pool has a stepped entry across the entire width of 5 metres and is filled with invigorating salt water at a depth of 0.7 to 2 metres. Eight trendy aluminium sun loungers and a parasol provide shade on the sun terrace around the pool, where you can really relax. One of the absolute highlights of this property is the outdoor kitchen located behind the sun terrace, which has a built-in barbecue and can be separated from the pool area. For a larger group of holidaymakers, this means you can combine poolside fun with a festive BBQ, which we think is one of the best things about this place. There is even a small fish pond in the garden that you can walk to.

On the covered terrace by the house you will find more places to sit and relax: There is an outdoor dining table with six chairs, and in the covered area there is another dining area with a wooden country-style table and some lovely long tables benches. Right next to this is a lounge area with comfortable polyrattan benches and armchairs. This is a great place for the whole group to meet in the morning to have coffee or tea while planning the day, or in the evening to have a drink together after everyone has returned from their individual day trips. No matter which area you end up choosing as your personal favourite, they all have one thing in common: without exception, all garden furniture is stylish, modern and, above all, comfortable. There is another attractive seating area that we absolutely must tell you about, namely the patio area, which is formed by the various wings of the building. It can be covered with an awning in summer and is just as inviting and modern as the other areas around the house. Another great advantage of this area is that it has direct access to the kitchen, making it the perfect place for breakfast.

The terrace leads directly into the villa's spacious kitchen, which has a large dining table and plenty of room for all fellow travellers. The dining area is open to the fully equipped fitted kitchen, in the centre of which is an island that opens up the space even further, creating a spacious, cosy kitchen area where you will love to spend your time. A wide elliptical archway connects the kitchen and the living room, where there is another dining area. From the attention to detail and typical Spanish style, which combines antique charm and high practicality, it is clear that the owners have emphasised tradition when designing and furnishing this relaxed space with rough stone walls, a fireplace and comfortable furniture for sitting and much more. The living room also has access to a venerable little room with a centuries-old vaulted ceiling; this small space provides a uniquely cosy atmosphere, especially when the weather is cooler. One of the villa's four bathrooms and a separate utility room are also located on this floor. All but one of the bedrooms are located on the upper floor, where two separate staircases lead to two separate sleeping areas. A staircase in the kitchen leads up to a huge bedroom with space for four people. This includes a double bed in one area and two single beds in another, with a partition wall separating the two areas. There is also a bathroom attached to this area. The second staircase leads up from the spacious foyer to the upper floor. This part of the house has its own absolutely cosy living room with sofas and TV, as well as three further double bedrooms and two more bathrooms. Incidentally, all bedrooms can also be equipped with air conditioning, which you can reserve on request. The comfortable bedrooms are all equipped with modern bedsteads, some of them are double beds, others are single beds and there is more than enough space for the clothes you bring or take with you while you are here. Each modern, tiled bathroom is fitted with either a shower or bath and some even have a bidet. Darker tiles on the underside of the wall near the floor contrast with the otherwise light-coloured tiles and create a beautiful, balanced overall look.

And so there is plenty of space both inside and outside and many attractive places for a group of friends travelling together to have a great time as a group or with the whole family.

The tastefully restored Villa Sa Mata Grossa is wonderfully secluded on a 70,000 m² plot in the northern part of the island between Búger and Sa Pobla. For groceries and other necessities, you can drive to the small town of Búger, where there are several small supermarkets, bars and restaurants. On Sundays you can visit the weekly market in Sa Pobla. The popular beaches on the Bay of Alcúdia, including Can Picafort and Platja de Muro, are just a short drive away in a hire car.

Please note that this property does not accept youth groups or stag and hen parties. A youth group at this property consists of people aged 25 years or younger. Do not book this property if you are a youth group or stag party as your booking will be refused after booking, which may also be on arrival at the property or during your stay, and you will not receive a refund
