Penthouse with private pool in the heart of Nerja!

This lovely penthouse is located on Calle Huertos, in the centre of Nerja with the beach 5 minutes away on foot. Restaurants, supermarkets, tapas bars… all just a few steps away! On the roof terrace you will find your private chill-out area with a barbecue and a champagne bar—what else could you possibly wish for a perfect holiday?

Location and outside area

If you wish to give your car a holiday then keep reading. This penthouse occupies the full first floor of a townhouse on Calle Huertos, a quiet street with some traffic, but no loud bars or discotheques. The beaches (250 m) and the Balcón de Europa (400 m) are just 5 minutes away walking. From the first floor, stairs lead up to the roof terrace where your own private pool (5.8x2.8 m) awaits with an exterior shower room. A pergola provides comfortable and shaded seating. Imagine that you are swimming under the stars at night, enjoying an alfresco dinner of fresh fish on the barbecue, or inviting friends over for a champagne party. It’s all possible! Nevertheless, should you wish to discover the beautiful sights of Andalusia, then we recommend visiting the Alhambra Palace in Granada—guided tours are available in case you don’t want to drive. The city of Malaga is famous for its Picasso Museum and there is an overwhelming choice of tapas bars for those who’d like to sample local gastronomy. Not yet convinced? Let’s take a look inside…

Note: In the second week of October, lasting from 4 to 5 days, you will be able to attend the Feria de Nerja (Nerja fair). For the duration of the fair, the fairgrounds in the centre of Nerja are covered in rows of casetas (individual decorated marquee tents which are temporarily built on the fairground). During the fair, you will find people (many ladies and some men in traditional flamenco outfit arriving on horse) partying and dancing "Sevillanas", drinking Jerez sherry, or manzanilla wine, and eating tapas. So, this is an attractive event, but it also has to consequences that may not be so attractive: The fairgrounds are also used as a large parking lot (Parking Carabeo, price in 2021 was from 40 EUR to 55 EUR per week), and will not be available from a few days before and during the fair. If you bring a car, you can park at the underground "Plaza de España" parking. Also, you may suffer nuisance from the noise of fair (music etc). We estimate this will not affect you very much as there are buildings in between the area, but we are not able to guarantee anything.

Inside and lay-out

From the entrance on Calle Huertos, stairs lead up to the first floor where all rooms are accessed from a central corridor. The living/dining room has a relaxing ambiance with a leather sofa for 4 persons, a fireplace, coffee table, DVD, satellite-TV (flat screen 32”) and dining amenities for 6 persons. In the centre of the house, next to the kitchen, you have a small, charming courtyard with 2 armchairs, a small table, and a fountain trickling the hours away—a perfect place for a coffee or breakfast for 2. The kitchen itself is well equipped with a 4 ringed induction hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, oven, and a washing machine. There are three bedrooms: two doubles and one twin. The bedrooms share a full bathroom with a jacuzzi, washbasin, and WC and also a shower room equipped with a hydro massage shower, a washbasin, and WC.
