A unique long promenade, divides the bay into two places, Štikovica - Zaton Mali and Zaton Veliki (Small and Big Zaton). Veliki Zaton has a post office, bank, shops, bars and restaurants.

What you will not find in Zaton are large hotels and crowds, so if you are looking for a place to relax, you will certainly be delighted with Zaton.

The word "zaton" actually means a bay or a cove so it is well protected from winds coming come from the open sea. Zaton bay frames the villas of Dubrovnik aristocrats, old stone houses and embroideries for boats.

The end of path next to the sea marks the entrance to a small pine tree forest. Walking through the forest path leads to many hidden places with amazing landscape. The play of nature gets more interesting when you continue walking deeper into the forest. The sea in this area is clean as in most of Adriatic.

    “Das Apartment war großartig! Die Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam und haben Tipps gegeben und waren sehr hilfsbereit & immer erreichbar, wenn man eine Frage hatte! Tolles Service. Das Apartment ist toll eingerichtet und man hat alles was man braucht - von der Küchenausrüstung angefangen bis hin zum Pflaster & Gelsenstecker. Hier ist wirklich an alles gedacht worden! Die Zimmer sind großzügig und die Terrasse ist ab ca. 10 Uhr im Schatten (herrlich wenn es zu heiß wird).
    Toll und wichtig ist auch der Garagenplatz.
    In nur wenigen Gehminuten hat man 2 Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf, die bis 22 Uhr geöffnet haben. Die Busstation ist ums Eck obwohl wir immer mit dem Auto gefahren sind oder zu Fuß unterwegs waren. Zum Bootshafen muss man eine stark befahrene Straße überqueren - dort ist dann gerade runter ein kleiner Hafen mit Fischerbooten. Aber wenn man links oder rechts den Pier entlang geht, findet man eigene mit Bojen abgesperrteBadebereiche mit Stein. Ein Restaurant ist gleich unten beim Hafen. Will man mehr Auswahl, muss man rechts den Hafen ca. 15 MIn. entlanggehen. Wir haben aber eher Strand-Ausflüge in der Umgebung gemacht und waren an verschiedenen Stränden baden (Achtung: Die Parkplatzsuche ist nicht immer einfach!). Bei Ausflügen nach Dubrovnik solltet ihr die Gastgeber bez. Parkplatz um Rat fragen - sie empfehlen einen wo man "nur" 30 EUR zahlt und einwenig zu Fuß geht. Beim Zentrum von Dubrovnik zahlt man 50 EUR für einen Tagesparkplatz!”

    “Schönes, neues und gut ausgestattes Apartment, dass man nach einem kurzen steilen Anstieg erreicht.
    Verbesserungsvorschläge: Handtücher auch für den Strand, Sonnenschirm und Sonnenliegen / Sonnenstuhl für das Meer, da hier nichts ausgeliehen werden kann. Weiterhin wäre es gut, wenn die Dusche einen Duschvorhang / eine Duschwand hätte.”
