Enjoy a leisurely holiday between the town and the sea

This holiday apartment is on the first floor (attic) of a single-family house in Heikendorf, about 10km from the centre of Kiel and right by the Kieler Förde. From the apartment, which is in a quiet district, it is about 800 metres to the yacht harbour and the well-maintained fine sandy beach.

The apartment of around 52m² in a Holstein brick house was completely newly furnished in 2010, renovated again in 2019 and has a separate entrance. The ground floor has a big entrance cloakroom, with stairs leading to the apartment on the first floor. The living room provides a sofa that can be used as a bed for a child, a coffee table, a TV and a stereo system. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a ceramic hob, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave, filter coffee machine and a dining table with chairs. The bedroom has a double bed (180cm wide), a wardrobe, a dresser and a luggage rack. The daylight bathroom is fitted with a bath and rain shower, a WC, a washbasin and various shelves. Bed linen and towels are provided free of charge. A children’s travel bed, a highchair and a stairway safety gate are available. There are bookshelves with books and games. All the rooms have heating and free Wi-Fi.

You can share use of the park-like garden, as well as a big cabin with a partially roofed veranda at the end of the garden. The apartment also has a car port and two bicycles for use free of charge. Pets are not allowed.

The house is non-smoking, but there are plenty of spaces to smoke around the house, even if it is raining.

The centre of Kiel can be accessed by bus (every 15 minutes during the day) or alternatively with the “steamer” along the Förde. Heikendorf is also at the edge of the Probstei, one of the most popular holiday areas by the Baltic Sea. The neighbouring village Laboe, as well as Schönberg, are well-known beaches. Right opposite Heikendorf, on the other side of the Kieler Förde, there is also the entrance to the North Sea-Baltic Sea Canal, so there are always many big ships to admire on the Förde in front of Heikendorf, and in summer of course also cruise ships.

    “Wir haben uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der schönen Garten ist super für Kinder und lädt nach einem langen Tag zum entspannen ein. Die Wohnung ist klein und sehr gemütlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Ausflüge: Kiel - Kiel ist eine schöne Stadt, es gibt viele Möglichkeiten die Stadt zu entdecken. Museen, Hafen, Altstadt und das kleine Aquarium.”

    “Prinzipiell eine nette kl Wohnung zu einem fairen Preis mit sehr freundlichem Vermieter in einer ruhigen Gegend. Positiv: -Wohnung mit separaten Eingang
    -Möglichkeit der Mitnutzung des Garten u der Spielgefährten für Kinder
    - Eigener PKW-Stellplatz
    - unweit vom Heikendorfer Strand
    -Ungestörtheit durch den Vermieter Negativ: -Wohnung wurde längere Zeit nicht gewischt u gesaugt (trotz 30 Euro für Endreinigung). Es machte den Eindruck, als sei sich die Wohnung nach jeder Vermietung nur grob angeschaut worden u , durch den Vormieter natürlich nur besenrein hinterlassen, für sauber erklärt worden, was jedoch nicht der Fall war. Das war sehr schade, denn ich musste zu Beginn dann erstmal putzen.
    (Alle Teppiche waren voll mit Sand der Vormieter, sehr dicker Staub mit Teebeutelpapier, Stift, Lineal unter Bett, Schränken, Couch.) Restaurant: Das Fährenhus - Am Heikendorfer Strand
