    “Mitte/Ende September war es ruhig in Steindorf. Ein Restaurant mit bürgerlicher Küche hatte ausser bei einem Ruhetag die Woche geöffnet. Rund um den See gab es aber zusätzlich reichlich Möglichkeiten. Die aus unserer Sicht beiden besten Lokale haben wir leider erst Ende des Urlaubes in Ossiach entdeckt. Im Nachbarort Bondesdorf bietet ein Bäcker 7 Tage die Woche frische Brötchen. Die Landschaft ist wunderschön und neben den schönen Wandermöglichkeiten, wird touristisch viel geboten (unbedingt den Affenberg besuchen). Es lohnt sich also, hier seinen Urlaub zu machen.”

Er zijn meer dan voldoende supermarkten in de omgeving, waar je goed terecht kunt voor je dagelijkse boodschappen. Daarnaast zijn er tal van restaurants waar je lekker kunt eten.

    Er is veel te doen in de wijde omgeving, wanneer je dingen wilt bekijken en/of ondernemen (klimbos, rodelen, watersportactiviteiten, etc.) is het verstandig om een Karintie-pas aan te schaffen bij de plaatselijke VVV. Hiermee kun je bij veel bezienswaardigheden gratis naar binnen of met een flinke korting.
    Wij zijn een kleine 2 weken geweest en hebben nog lang niet alles gezien.”

    “In wenigen Autominuten hat man Shoppingmöglichkeiten für jeden Geldbeutel. Ein kleines Kaufhaus ist auch zu Fuß zu erreichen. Restaurants, Strand, Bootsausleihe und auch Startpunkt für kleinere Bootsfahrten auf dem Ossiacher See sind gleich in der Nähe. Man kann bequem zu Fuss, aber auch mit dem Rad überall hin. Auch unsere 8- jährige hatte viel Spaß beim Radfahren. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten zur Wanderung und auch viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten mit Auto. Für uns als Familie ein gelungener Urlaub und wir haben jetzt schon Sehnsucht nach den Bergen! Wer allerdings eher eine "Partymeile" sucht, ist in Steindorf nicht am richtigen Ort!”
