“The town Perstorp is nothing special. We had a look once and did not go back. The countryside is very nice. There are lots of walking possibilites, marked routes around Lärkesholmsjön (lake) or in Söderasen National Park and lots more. There is an open air museum (Ingeborrap) nearby which is very interesting and a little old fashioned cafe in a tiny place called Hagstad. For slightly longer daytrips we would recommend Bastad, Torekov and peninsula or Arild and surrounding area. Ystad is 1.5 hours drive away, but worth the trip, and there are lots of sandy beaches nearby and big stone circle. The elk park is worth seeing and great fun for children, especially if you go on the little open train and feed the animals. For shopping we drove to Örkeljunga (about 10km from the cottage), where there were lots of supermarkets and a tourist office.”
