    “In Heiligenblut, wat we al van (veel) vroeger kenden, zijn genoeg restaurants waar je prima kunt eten en er is een kleine supermarkt waar je je dagelijkse boodschappen kunt doen. Je kunt er ook prima op een terras zitten en onder het genot van een kop koffie of een biertje kijken wat er zo al de Grossglocknerstrasse opgaat/afkomt. Voor een wat grotere plaats met veel winkels kun je mooi een uitje maken naar het gezellige Lienz (40 km).
    Speciale aandacht verdient nog het restaurant Almcasino, beneden bij de camping, waar we vroeger (45 jaar geleden) al kwamen. Je kunt er nog altijd uitstekend eten tegen tegen heel fatsoenlijke prijzen. Het is er altijd gezellig druk en Sepp is er na al die jaren nog altijd!”

Dieser Wegabschnitt ist zu Fuß nicht empfehlenswert, da kein Randstreifen zum Laufen existiert. Laute Straße mit viel Motorräder, Bussen, Caravan und Campingmobile. Sicher viel Feinstaub durch das Verkehrsaufkommen und durch das Dauerbremsen der Fahrzeuge auf der kurvenreichen, steilen Strecke. Riecht nach heißgefahrenen Bremsen.
    Leider KEIN Radweg auf der Glocknerstraße, das ist für Radfahrer lebensgefährlich.
    Ansonsten ist der Ort malerisch gelegen. Die Preise im Supermarkt sind nicht überzogen. Die Pizzeria am Marktplatz sehr lecker und günstig.”
