    “Der Hauptort Alstermo ist ein typischer kleiner schwedischer Ort, der in eine wunderschöne Wald- und Flusslandschaft eingebettet ist. Da ich hauptsächlich Radtouren unternommen habe, habe ich aber auch die weitere Umgebung kennengelernt, sanfte Hügel, viele Seen und Flüsse, mit und ohne Badestellen, entzückende kleine Örtchen. Das Haus liegt in einer Region mit sehr vielen Glasbläsereien, die man teilweise besichtigen kann. Außerdem gibt es Naturparks und z. B. einen Elchpark in der näheren Umgebung, so dass für Erwachsene und Kinder genug Angebote bestehen. Aus früheren Schwedenaufenthalten kenne ich auch Orte der Astrid-Lindgren Bücher (Bullerbü, Michel (Emil) aus Lönneberga), die eine gute Autostunde von Alsterfors entfernt und auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert sind”

    “Alle Lebensmittel für den täglichen Bedarf bekommt man in Alstermo. Wir haben den Einkauf mit dem Auto erledigt. Man kann es aber auch gut zu Fuß erreichen.”
