Il Baglio si trova nelle campagne di Balestrate, piccolo centro costiero del bel Golfo di Castellammare, sulla costa settentrionale della Sicilia tra Palermo e Trapani.
Dista 3 chilometri dal paese e dalla spiaggia ed è a soli 20 minuti di auto dall’aeroporto di Palermo e a 35 minuti da quello di Trapani
Grazie alla sua ottima posizione, si possono raggiungere facilmente alcuni dei più bei luoghi di mare e d’arte della Sicilia Occidentale (la Tonnara di Scopello, la Riserva dello Zingaro, San Vito lo Capo, Segesta, Erice, Monreale, Palermo, Selinunte)
La costa del Golfo di Castellammare alterna infatti lunghi tratti di spiaggia di sabbia, ideali per chi ha bambini piccoli, a spettacolari tratti rocciosi inframmezzati da calette.
Ricca la varietà dei luoghi d'arte che va dai celebri siti archeologici di Segesta e Selinunte, all'arte normanna di Monreale e Palermo, al suggestivo borgo di Erice con la sua vista spettacolare sulle isole Egadi e sulle saline di Trapani.

Holiday apartment with a terrace and a parking space

The holiday apartment is in the countryside in Balestrate, a little town on the Gulf of Castellammare between Palermo and Trapani, on the north coast of Sicily in a typical Sicilian country house.

The living room opens onto the terrace, which is partially roofed, where you can also cook, dine and sunbathe. You can also relax inside the courtyard in the shade of a mulberry tree. Opposite there is a lemon grove and in the background you can see cypresses and pines. Parking space is available.

The apartment is simply but comfortably furnished. The thick stone walls keep the accommodation pleasantly cool in summer and warm in winter. The living room has an integrated, well-equipped kitchen, a sofa bed (140 x 200cm) and a dining table. There is a bedroom with a double bed and there is a bathroom with a shower and WC. The living space totals 40m². A cot can be provided on request. Wireless Internet access is available.

The locality and the beach are about 3km from the house. It is about a 20-35-minute drive to the Palermo and Trapani airport. Many of Sicily’s places of interest are just a stone’s throw away, such as Scopello, the Zingaro nature reserve, San Vito lo Capo, Segesta, Erice, Monreale, Palermo and Selinunte. The beaches are mostly sandy and suitable for children, alternating with stony and rocky stretches of coast. There is a restaurant 500 metres away and there are shops in the locality about 3km away.

    “Ein wunderschöner alter, quareeförmig angelegter Landhof mit einem sehr schönen Innenhof, das Gehöft umgeben von Orangenbäumen, in dessen alten Gemäuern einige sehr schöne Ferienwohnungen eingerichtet sind, Ende Mai/Anfang Juni aber nur von wenigen Feriengästen bewohnt war. Unsere Erdgeschosswohnung war schlicht mit antiken Möbeln eingerichtet, die Terrasse, die nach außen ging, war sehr groß, von Blumen und Bäumen umgeben, einfach herrlich. Das Gehöft liegt für alle Unternehmungen in die Umgebung absolut praktisch nahe einer Autobahnausfahrt, man hört das Rauschen der nicht mit einer deutschen Autobahn vergleichbar befahrenen Straße je nach Wind auf der Terrasse etwas, aber nicht störend! Die italienische Vermieterin spricht super Deutsch wie Englisch und, obgleich nicht vor Ort, war sie sehr nett und hilfsbereit und übernahm die Vermittlung, so dass unser erst eine Woche später eingetroffener Koffer sicher in unsere nächste Ferienunterkunft gelangte.”
