Two holiday apartments in a charmingly restored house, in charming surroundings
The house over 20 years old with the two holiday apartments “Sonnebogen” and “Hahnenholz” has been carefully restored by the owners. It is away from the main road, very close to the Rennsteig, forest and lift.
Both apartments have comfortable and modern furnishing. The design with many charming details is in harmony with the historical ambience of the house, which has central heating.
The garden area provides various groups of seating, an awning, a grill, a Wendy house, loungers, a table tennis table and a herb garden. There are chicken coops and squirrels on site. There is space to store bicycles, sledges and skis and if you prefer to park your car in a garage then that is no problem.
Would you like not only to get to know the region and its people on holiday, but also learn old craft techniques and be creative? Then you can take part in various creative options, from porcelain painting to woodwork and making local Christmas tree decorations.
You can stroll quietly through forests and the extensive nature. There are cross-country skiing trails, ski touring routes, lifts and Thüringen’s first snow tubing site awaiting you. The many hiking trails in the area are well signposted and start right by the house. The current snow levels, the condition of the trails and the lift opening times are kept up to date on the local snow telephone. During the holidays ad at weekends, ski schools offer special ski courses and teach you skiing basics, with qualified ski instructors, both individual and group tuition. The ski kindergarten awaits the youngest guests. There are also ski rental services.
Apartment Sonnenbogen
This holiday apartment of around 45m² has a combined living room and bedroom with a double bed 160cm wide. The living room includes a kitchen unit with an electric hob, a microwave with a grill, a coffee machine, a toaster and a kettle. The separate bedroom has a single bed 90cm wide. A little bathroom with a shower rounds off the apartment.
