This charming, bright and well-furnished holiday house in Overby Lyng is located just 300 metres away from the coast. You can have a beautiful view of the sea from certain spots on the plot. You can get the feel of being in a geological park, in the glacial headlands of Odsherred. Along the grave mound street, you can find graves and tombs that date back to the stone age and the bronze age. There are 300-year-old remains of the forest village of Ulkerup and the Hempel Glass Museum in this region. A replica of the sun chariot found in the moors of Trundholm moses is placed in Odsherred Museum. You can take a look at the Lommesten rocks and the castle of Naesholm Borg located on a small island in Lake Nygård Sø and situated between Hojby and Nykobing Sjælland. In Odsherred, you can also find a nature school where you learn to catch fish, go on butterfly safaris, take expeditions through forest and explore the forest with troll and fox trips. The nature reserve Hovvig is a restored wetland and home for rich bird life. The forest Grønnehaveskoven has fitness trails and a beautiful dog world. On the grassland, Kongeengen is the source of Thorskilde, to which many magical and adorable properties are attributed. There are sign-boards indicating ways to 3 hiking trails in the region: the sea, sand and wind- 16.2 km, the water bird- 8 km and the coastal culture-7.5 km. The Summerland of Zealand, typical Odsherred's galleries and the Dragsholm Castle of the 13th century are nearby and definitely worth visiting. Havnebyen is the only proper fishing port with boats and a small smoke house. Anglers on recreation have a good chance of getting fish. The only fishing port of Odsherred in Havneby is nearby. You can buy fresh smoked fish here. If you get to Gniben, at the very top of the peninsula, you can go fishing on the beach. You can also take a stroll through the Artillery School of the Army. Enjoy shopping and visit the coffee houses in Nykøbing Sjælland. Take a trip to the harbour of Rorvig and go on seal safaris. You can sail from Rorvig to Hundested and reach Copenhagen by ferry in just an hour. You can enjoy smoked fish while your children catch crabs on the pier.
