Historic and elegant: spend relaxed holiday days in the former country residence of a count, with a view of the vineyards

This quietly located holiday house is located in the district of Valle Talloria and is about half way up the hill.

The living space is spread across two floors. On the ground floor there are a living and dining room and a kitchen, equipped with a stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Stairs leads up to the first floor, where you can find a bedroom with a double bed (or two single beds on request), a second bedroom with two single beds or a double bed, and a third bedroom with a double bed and a balcony with a view of the Barolo vineyards. The latter bedroom provides access to another small bedroom with a single bed. Each bedroom offers a view of the garden and the vineyards and has a wardrobe, a table with a chair, a window with shutters and mosquito netting. A junior bed or cot can be added. The house also has a bathroom with a large bath and a bidet, and another bathroom with a shower and bidet.

Amidst the vineyards there is a completely fence garden, furnished with sun loungers, tables, chairs, a pergola and a large parasol and surrounded by a small forest.

The house dates back to the end of the 18th century, when it served as a country residence for a conte and his contessa, and it has been in family ownership for over 60 years. The owners live on site and manage the agricultural business. Characteristics of this house include its square layout, the typical materials such as clay tiles, old roof tiles etc.

The holiday house is accessed by means of a private asphalted road and a gate.

In Gallo Grinzane (2km away) you can find a supermarket (“Familia”), a bank, an ATM, a post office, a tobacconist, a moped hire, restaurants and shops. Every Wednesday morning a market takes place. You can go on walks in the vineyards of the country estate and in the forests in Alta Langa, Castino, Mango and Albaretto Torre. In Barolo, Grinzane Cavour, Castiglione, Falletto, Serralunga d'Alba and La Morra you can find wine bars and restaurants. The holiday house is conveniently located for getting to these places. Verduna is about a 5-minute drive from the house. It is also easy to get to Alba and its old town (10km away) with museums, a theatre, the cathedral, a tourism office, typical shops, cinemas, bars, restaurants and a car rental service. Every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday morning there is a market. This house is well connected to the motorway (2km away). Asti is 30km, Turin 50km and Savona 60km away. About 2km from the house there are roads with panoramic views towards the sea or towards the mountains in the direction of Alta Langa, Cortemilia, Murazzano, Spiaggia del Mar Ligure (about 60km) and Alpi del Mare (about 50km).

    “Das Haus im Piemont liegt sehr schön. Auch die Zimmer sind sehr schön ausgestattet. Es gab sogar richtige Weingläser, was in Italien nicht immer der Fall ist. Die Plätze im Freien konnten wir gut nutzen, es gab zwei. Einer davon am Haus, der andere in der Wiese, mit ausreichend Sitzgelegenheiten und Liegestühlen. Wir wurden äußerst nett von den Vermietern, die im gleichen Haus wohnen, empfangen. (Was nicht störend ist). Allein die Küche war für uns, da wir gerne kochen, leider sehr klein und nur mit 2 Kochplatten ausgestattet. Wenn das zweite Haus, oder die Wohnung nebenan vermietet wird, steht leider das Auto der Mieter direkt vor dem Freiplatz am Haus. Obwohl auf dem Grundstück genügend Platz wäre.”
