Holiday apartment in the former monastery estate Karthäuser Hof in Wassernach at the lake Laacher See
The holiday apartment is on the first floor of an old timber-framed house from 1722, the former Karthäuser Hof monastery estate in Wassernach by Laacher See.
It is suitable for two to three people and was completely renovated in 2011. The charm of ‘good old times’ has been preserved, however, and the apartment has some old pieces of furniture. It provides about 40m² of living space that is not barrier-free.
You access the house through an entrance door modelled on the original and go up the spacious stairwell to the first floor, where the holiday apartment is. It has a double bedroom with an adjoining bathroom and WC, and a living room with a kitchen unit and a fold-out third bed. Cosy timber-framed walls enhance the sense of well-being, as well as the lounge hallway with a reading corner. It is a cosy holiday apartment, partly furnished in accordance with the old style. Owing to small steps between the rooms, the apartment is not suitable for wheelchair users. It provides all the necessary modern-day comfort, such as a built-in kitchen with a ceramic hob and oven, a microwave, fridge with four-star freezer compartment and all the standard kitchen utensils, a kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The living room also provides seating with an antique sofa, and a old English dining table and chairs, a rustic dresser and a flatscreen TV with satellite channels. The third bed is a folding guest bed that can be set up in the living room. A child’s bed is also available on request.
You can share use of seating in the courtyard, which also provides a car parking space. In summer (ca. mid-June to mid-September) you can share use of the swimming pool (round, diameter 4.6m) on the owner’s site, just a few steps away.
There are no supplementary charges for energy and the final cleaning, and the car parking space is also included. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. It is a non-smoking apartment. Children are welcome. Pets are not allowed. The apartment can also be rented for a longer period. It is also suitable for workers, as Wassenach is conveniently situated for the A61 and A48 motorways and the Koblenz area. Outside of the main season, special terms are offered to companies for workers seeking longer-term accommodation.
