Just a few minutes from here is the Dwingelderverld National Park, which is great for cycling or hiking. Take a picnic with you and enjoy the fresh air. The National Park Weerribben-Wieden is also close by and worth a trip, as are many of the nearby municipalities such as Assen, Meppel or Emmen.
