Comfortably furnished forest house in a quiet location, with a wonderful view of the lake
This holiday apartment is on the ground floor of a detached two-family house on a slope, just a few minutes’ walk from Ossiacher See and the supermarket open from May to October, restaurants and ATMs. Outdoor stairs lead to the separate entrance. As the last house on a quiet residential street, the site with terraces and a lawn is right by the edge of a forest.
With around 92m² of living space, the accommodation is suitable for four people. The living and dining room has a comfortable suite, a coffee table, a workspace, satellite TV and a little table with two chairs. The adjoining cooking space is equipped with an oven, a four-ring hob, a fridge with a freezer compartment (use of an additional 40-litre freezer in the hall cupboard is possible), a toaster, a kettle, a coffee machine and a dining table, a bench and further seating. The open layout of the kitchen unit, dining corner and transition to the living room creates a pleasantly generous space. The storage room has a washing machine with an integrated dryer and all cleaning utensils. The two bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed (180cm wide) with Voglauer rustic furniture. The big bedroom also has an additional bed 90cm wide. The bathroom has a large rain shower with a glass screen, a WC, a washbasin, a hairdryer and underfloor heating in winter. The owner can provide a highchair and a cot free of charge on request. The apartment has central heating. There is no Internet connection.
The two big terraces, accessed from the living room and the kitchen, have enough space for a table and four chairs, as well as sun loungers and a parasol. You can enjoy the wonderful view, from breakfast time to the fabulous sunset, perhaps with a pleasant grill evening (grill provided). There is parking space at the end of the cul-de-sac right by the site. Pets are not allowed.
A laundry service is available. Bed linen, hand and shower towels are provided, please bring your own beach towels. Additional cleaning is possible during your stay on request for a fee.
In summer, a range of activities are available. Here are a few suggestions: Landskron monkey park, Landskron castle with eagle flight show at the eagle arena, cable car to Gerlitzenalm, weekly farmers’ market on Wednesdays in Ossiach in summer, swimming in Ossiacher See, a boat ride on Ossiacher See, the Alpine game park in Feld am See, Obir limestone caves (further to drive, but worthwhile), the Walderlebnispark (forest adventure park) at Klopeiner See, a trip to Wörthersee, the Ossiach climbing park or a trip to Italy. The nearest supermarket is about 300 metres away (May to October), otherwise there are other supermarkets about 7km away (10 minutes by car). The nearest train station (also arrivals by car train) is in Villach about 13km away (about 15 minutes by car).
