In the hinterland of Opatija, on a hill and close to the idyllic village of Kastav, lies the small village of Jusici. The holiday apartment is bright and tastefully furnished. From the terrace you can enjoy a beautiful view of the landscape and the natural surroundings. The accommodation is located on the local road and offers the opportunity to quickly reach the first beaches and charming Opatija by car, but also to explore the surrounding area. Nearby Kastav is a place with a rich history, culture and tradition. The ruins of St Mary's Church, popularly known as Crekvina, stand as a historical and cultural monument in Kastav. The surrounding area offers many opportunities for an active holiday. There are numerous hiking trails and promenades, then cycle paths and another interesting way to explore the beautiful natural and historical heritage of the Kastav region is horse riding. The town of Matulji, also known as the gateway to the Opatija Riviera, is famous for its bell ringing tradition, which is on the UNESCO list of intangible heritage. In the local taverns you can try local specialities as well as jarbola, a wine with a specific taste made from the local grape variety. Visit the nearby Uka Nature Park. Lovers of active holidays can enjoy the extraordinary nature here, which is adorned with many protected and rare animal and plant species. From the top of Vojak you have a phenomenal panoramic view of the Kvarner islands, Istria and Rijeka. Visit Opatija, the centre of cultural events, which includes numerous concerts and festivals in the summer.
