15th century stronghold that dominated over the via Francigena, which was then transformed into a fief outpost of the Vici family. Restructured by the actual owner, who made a holiday residence out of it. About 80 m away are located 2 annexes in which there are 3 apartments. Extensive view. Peaceful position. Each apartment has a private outdoor area. Shared: large lawn, lounge with sofas and fireplace located on the ground floor of the annexe, table-tennis, indoor swimming pool (approx. 9x5) in the shape of a 'T', 45 m2 (not to be heated), open only June till September. On one side of the fortress, in a small house lives a couple who are the caretakers of the property. Parking. Baby-bed availableCentral heating.     “Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr schön an einer Festung aus dem 15. Jahrhundert. Vor allem das Außengeläde ist toll mit einer großen Liegewiese, Terasse und einer Tischtennisplatte. Der Pool im Nachbargebäude ist ideal für ein erfrischendes Bad nach den Ausflügen in die Umgebung (Temperatur konstant bei etwa 22 °C). Die Ferienwohnung selbst ist ziemlich komplett ausgestattet, allerdings gibt es keine Weingläser. Ein weiteres kleines Manko bei der Einrichtung ist das Fehlen bequemerer Sitzmöbel - es gibt nur relativ unbequeme Stühle und ein Sofa.
    Trotz dieser kleinen Schwächen haben wir die Zeit in Avigliano Umbro sehr genossen und uns dort wohl gefühlt.”
