Little former fisherman’s house with modern furnishing and a terrace, including its own boat, right by the boat mooring and by the sea
This is a 43m² fishing cottage with modern furnishing in a Norwegian style (Rorbuer). It is part of a cosy little complex in Korshamn, which is also referred to as the pearl of southern Norway and is very popular also among locals for its originality, varied surroundings and excellent fishing. It is about 1.5 hours from the Kristiansand ferry harbour to Korshamn. The accommodation is right by the water and affords an incomparably beautiful panoramic view of the sea with its little islands.
The house is suitable for three adults or two adults and two children. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed (200cm long) and the other with two single beds (all 200cm long). There is also a bathroom with a shower, washbasin and WC. The kitchen with a light décor provides a dining table, a stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. The living room has a sofa, an armchair, a stereo system with a CD player and a flatscreen TV including German TV channels. A washing machine and a freezer are available right by the house. Wireless Internet access is also available.
The house features a terrace with seating and a direct view of the sea, as well as a balcony. There is a boat mooring right in front of the house and a parking space is available. In addition, a very safe boat of a superior class is available (Kaasbol 19”, 70 HP 4-cylinder outboard motor). These boats are made in Norway and are suitable for the rough Norwegian coastal region. A map plotter, echosounder, rod holder and fileting table (right on the boat and by the jetty) make it an ideal fishing boat. This boat will make your holiday a special experience.
Owing to the sheltered location, you can always find a calm fishing spot even when the sea is choppy. Korshamn with its 170 souls is a historical fishing village, whose traditions continue up until today. There is a little well-stocked shop about 100 metres away, with everything you need, including a small range of fishing kit. There is a very beautiful island with grill areas and a sandy beach about 5 minutes away by boat, where you an spend a romantic evening as a couple, with friends or family. Lyngdal is about 25 minutes away by car, where you can go shopping, and there is also a beach for swimming by the fjord and a swimming pool. Norway’s largest sandy beaches are about a 45-minute drive away. You can swim there in good weather and relax. The beaches are natural and never overcrowded. It is also worth going on a trip to Farsund, a beautiful town. The Lindenes lighthouse is worth a visit, especially during stormy seas, but it is then to be accessed by land only. The less well-known waterfall near Skrelia is also recommended.
