House in Crestet with Private Pool
This holiday house is somewhat secluded on a very extensive site above Crestet, where you can find total peace and quiet.
Grandiose property with a pool, library, fireplace and a grand piano – on a very extensive site with olive trees
The whole site is for your own exclusive use. It measures sixteen hectares and a quarter of it is covered with olive trees. Apart from the pétanque alley, there is also a pool (15 x 5.5m) with a view of the Crestet castle. There are parking spaces for five to six cars in front of the house.
The stone house from the beginning of the 18th century was renovated tastefully in 2015. The entrance is via the kitchen, which is very well-equipped: gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer compartment, coffee machine and toaster, as well as a dishwasher and dining table. The ground floor also has a big and small lounge, both with a fireplace, as well as the dining space, the ‘Saint Etienne’ room with a double bed (1800 x200cm), and an adjoining bathroom (shower, washbasin, WC), and two separate toilets. The ground floor provides access to the interior courtyard and a terrace, the outdoor dining space, and an old break baking oven, typical of the region. The ‘Cassis’ room (double bed 160 x 200cm), and the ‘Cavaillon’ room (double bed 180 x 200cm), as well as a bathroom (bath, two washbasins, WC) accessed from the hallway are on the first floor. A bathroom with a shower adjoins the ‘Cavaillon’ bedroom. On this floor there is also the library with a TV (DVB-T and international channels), as well as the former silk worm cultivation rooms, which have been converted into the ‘Saint Germain en Laye’ bedroom (double bed 160 x 200cm), the adjoining bathroom (bath, washbasin and WC), and a little living room. The second floor has the ‘Chesterbrook’ bedroom (double bed 200 x 200cm), a little living room and a bathroom (shower, washbasin). There is another living room with a supplementary bed for one person and table football, and the ‘Göteborg’ bedroom 8double bed 180 x 200cm) with a washbasin in the room, along with another bathroom (shower and WC). All the rooms on this floor are fitted with air conditioning. From the kitchen and from the garden on the east side you can access the lower part of the building, with a workshop, laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, a separate WC and a room with a pool table, including a bar with an integrated sink and a fridge, and a sound station for music. The house has central heating for the whole building. Apart from the kitchen, all the rooms receive wireless Internet access. As the dining room can seat up to ten people, the house is best suited for up to ten people, even though there are more beds available.
You can do your shopping six kilometres away. The area between Crestet and Séguret invites you to go hiking and mountain biking. Theere is a long distance hiking trail running past the site. Towns worth seeing in the area include Malaucène (start of the Ventoux stage of the Tour de France), 15 minutes away, and Vaison-la-Romaine with its Roman excavations just 10 minutes away.
