Nostalgia meets a modern interior, providing a comfortable and unforgettable holiday in a newly renovated timber-framed house
Welcome to this charming holiday house in the beautiful Central/North Black Forest nature reserve. It is on a quiet alley right at the heart of Neuhausen, to the south of Pforzheim. You can find a range of wellness offers and everyday amenities nearby. It is nestled into a picturesque landscape and you can go on extended hikes and trips in nature. Owing to the good connections, it is easy to get to the surrounding metropolises, spa resorts and commercial centres.
In recent years, the house has been modernised and extensively refurbished with attention to detail. Many of the items of furniture and decorative elements have been restored by the owners painstakingly, made themselves and put together for you. They have poured their heart and soul into the property, which is also under heritage protection. Experience and enjoy a homely atmosphere, due to the accomplished contrast between the traditional and the modern. You can discover an old kitchen stove as in grandma’s day, a big old stone sink, or rustic exposed beams. At the same time, the house is of course fitted and equipped according to modern standards, providing everything you need. The generous interior spans 120m², on a first floor, second floor and converted attic, accommodating up to four adults and a small child. The unoccupied ground floor houses the former stables, which can now be used for storing bicycles. The rustic building has two bedrooms each with a double bed (180 x 200cm and 140 x 200cm), a spacious bathroom, a separate WC, a big kitchen with modern appliances, and an open dining and living room.
Outdoor stairs lead past a little veranda with a bench to the front door. The generous entrance area has cloakroom space and a big mirror. The centrepiece of the house is this first floor, with the open living and dining room and the adjoining, fully-equipped, separate kitchen. You can sit together in the dining room at the designer table made of old ship planks, with six chairs. A delicious cheese fondue is recommended, with an accompanying wine kept in the antique wine rack next to it. After a day trip you can relax in the living room, with a modern soapstone stove for a cosy evening on the comfortable sofa by the mahogany coffee table, enjoying the crackling of the fire. A 42” plasma TV with a TV USB port and satellite channels, a DVD player and DVD collection and a stereo system provide entertainment. The kitchen enables extensive self-catering. You can either use the modern ceramic hob with an extractor fan and an electric convection oven, or the supplementary stove with an oven as in grandma’s day, fired with wood and fully functional. A dishwasher and an old stone sink, a pads coffee machine and a filter coffee machine, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a kettle, a toaster, an egg boiler and a hand mixer are provided. There is also a guest WC with a washbasin and there is a storage room for household items (cleaning utensils, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board).
The second floor has the main bathroom with a window, a shower cubicle, two washbasins with a big illuminated mirror, and a WC. Here there is also the first bedroom with a 180cm-wide generous double bed, bedside tables and reading lamps on either side, a wardrobe, a dresser with a mirror and a wall mirror. There is a storage room for luggage with a built-in safe and a books corner on the landing with a desk and a small selection of books for relaxing at the end of the day, next to the stairs up to the attic, where you can spend romantic hours as a couple in the charmingly decorated attic room with a French bed with a mattress 140cm wide. The house is suitable for allergy sufferers, so pets are not allowed. The whole house has wooden or tiled flooring. Smoking is prohibited in the house.
You can enjoy your coffee in front of the house, with a big slice of cake, on the wooden bench on the veranda, with a view of the fabulous Wingertgasse. You can store bicycles securely in the former stables on the ground floor. There is a private car parking space on site.
A special feature is that all rooms, apart from the cellar, can be heated with the fireplace stove in the living room and/or the supplementary stove in the kitchen, using wood. A basket of firewood per day is free of charge. Each room also has an electric radiator. The heating costs are calculated on departure according to usage. Free wireless Internet access is available. The accommodation is suitable either for a short-term or long-term stay.
In Neuhausen you can find all the necessary amenities: bakery, butcher, town hall, drinks shop, restaurants, banks, pharmacy, hairdresser, cosmetic salon, all within walking distance. There is a big discount supermarket 1km away on the outskirts, as well as other shops. Your holiday accommodation is an ideal starting point for extended hikes, bike and mountain bike tours and many other sports such as golf (5km), cross-country skiing or Nordic walking. Sports challenges, wellness, gastronomy, breathtaking nature and culture are all nearby. After an active and sporty day, you can treat yourself to a massage at the Paracelsus thermal spa just a few minutes from Neuhausen, in Bad Liebenzell about 8km away. Replenish your energy and breath the fresh Black Forest air on an unforgettable holiday in this freshly renovated timber-framed house. The owners look forward to welcoming you as their guests.
